Robert Gawliński
Robert Gawlinski, born on 31th August 1963 in Warsaw, is a polish rock musician, vocalist and leader of 'Wilki' (Wolves). He was raised by his mother only, because his father left the family when Robert was 7 years old. Gawlinski started his first band called 'Gniew' (Anger) when he was 19. The band existed between 1979 and 1982 and performed happy punk-rock. Later Gawlinski become a member of 'Nieustraszeni lowcy wampirow' (Fearless Vampire Hunters). He was also the founder and leader of few other bands like: 'Madame' (1982-1986) and Opera (1986). In early 90s Gawlinski earned huge popularity with 'Wilki'. From May 1992 to October 1993 his band sold 200000 MCs, 18000 CDs and 2000 vinyls with its first album called 'Wilki'. In 1994 the band unexpectedly suspended it's activity. Gawlinski started a few solo projects (albums: 'Solo', 'Kwiaty jak relikwie', 'X', 'Gra') and appeared in the movie 'Wojaczek' where he played the role of Edward Stachura. He also wrote the music and played in 'Hamlet' on the Ochota' theatre's stage in Warsaw. After few years he reactivated 'Wilki' and recorded two very popular albums - '4' and 'Watra'.
